Twyla Prindle has just published a non-fiction (true story) book titled, Deception: The Devil Hears Your Prayers Too. I began reading Prindle's book soon after getting home from a meeting of PRIDE, People Reading for Inspiration, Discussion & Enjoyment and couldn't pull myself away from the story. I used a highlighter to mark questionable statements made by the author, as I found some issues she described to be too far fetched to believe. I also used the highlighter to note Prindle's brilliancy as a storyteller/writer. The sequence of her story line seems rambunctious in the beginning, but before completing this eight-chapter book, Twyla Prindle gets it all together. This book is loaded with touching descriptions of her amazing journey.

Prindle dealt with issues such as: homelessness, racism, pain, Mr. Right, dark secrets and other personal struggles while staying focused and achieving her goals. Completing the book twenty-four hours after I began reading, there was no doubt about the author's testimony. I can only echo the phrase so often expressed, "God is good..." Prindle's book Deception: The Devil Hears Your Prayers Too is filled with the highs and lows in a 222-page journey into the life of a remarkably talented and courageous young lady. Prindle is now touring the country with her book beginning with a presentation on Thursday, May 26 with the Philadelphia Black Clergy Association. It should really hit home with this group for Prindle has much to share about a few of the "man of the cloth" issues. The book tour will also take her to engagement presentations in New York at the Schomburg Center , St. Paul Baptist Church, Publisher's Marketing Association the NBS Award Presentation and ending June 6 at the Book Expo America. For the next two weeks Prindle will appear on local and national talk radio shows.

Recommendations

1. Buy this book ASAP and don't put it down until you finish reading it because you don't need distractions in the flow of her testimonies. This is a book for sisters to see how you can be strung along and it is also a book for brothers to see how sisters can pull the threads from your shorts without your even knowing there is nothing holding your stuff together.

2. Ms. Prindle needs to write a whole fictional book on Chapter III, "The Cost of Sexual Sin." Fiction is recommended in order for the author to get away with more details and to fully define the illustrious characters of Mr. Man, Mr. Oh So Fine, Pastor and all her Angels.

3. Chapter VII "Broke but not Broken" needs to be developed into a complete non-fiction book giving the actual names of all the players along Prindle's course.

If your trials and tribulations are making you question your own faith then Deception: The Devil Hears Your Prayers Too is a book that will help answer some of the disturbing questions on how or why you believe God is letting these things happen to you....
